Trip of luxury & romance with Agyness Deyn

The short film, simply titled Here will surely make you dream of a spontaneous trip with impeccable outfits and no luggage to be concerned about. A sweet touch of romance, a little mystery, sunlit landscapes and the unbelievably beautiful Agyness Deyn makes this an unforgettable journey. Multiple handwritten notes take our leading lady on a search by train, boat and plane that ends on a private beach where her leading man awaits, bathed in the glow of the setting sun with a candle and a cake.
I'm already yearning for a dip in that magnificent pool and a gorgeous green dress to call my own. Watch it here.

Contentment in the french countryside

The most perfect spot. The beauty of this is that I would probably never be able to find it again. I could drive along the same route along the french countryside but not be able to locate this exact lookout . It took my breath away. You'd think it's such a cliche, sunlight sparkling on the surface of the water and the deep blue ocean melding fluidly with the soft pale blue of the sky in the distance. I remember absorbing the incredible, scenic landscape and thinking, "How lucky I am". "How lucky to have this day, to have the opportunity to travel to this place, how lucky to be alive, to breathe in the crisp, fresh air and to admire this magnificent view". It generated immediate feelings of gratefulness and soul deep contentment. It allowed me to shed all burdens. And that truly was the magic of that perfect spot.

Beauty in January

In the first week of January, this is what inspires me. A touch of softness and an unguarded moment. A bit of messiness appeals, not too done, not too much. Feminity melded with innate strength. Minimalism in the sense of keeping things simple and easy.

I've been really interested in proper jewellry lately. Grown-up jewellry. Well crafted settings and tasteful gems. Tiny stones are all I can afford at the moment but all the more precious to me. I think it's sort of entering the next phase, departing from the throw-away embellishments of youth. I hope to build on that.
I've been taking it slow these rose-tinted first days of the new year. Everything still feels fresh as the morning dew when the dust and gravel of the year before are left behind. To fulfilling hopes and dreams in 2012...

Paris in the Rain

It rained every single day I was in Paris but between hearty lunches at Robert et Louise and cosy dinners at Cafe Constant not to mention hot chocolate every few hours, I was as warm and toasty as a croissant fresh out of Pierre Herme's oven. As you can tell, food featured largely in our short getaway. Who can resist a lazy brunch at Cafe de Flore or tea time at Merci's lovely little used book cafe? We went on the giant ferris wheel at place de la Concorde. I just had to. It seems even the Parisiens themselves love the Roue de Paris at Christmas. We shared the capsule with a couple who were born and raised in Paris and they were as enthusiastic as we were in snapping shots of the tuileries and louvre on one side and the Champs-Élysées stretching towards the Arc de Triomphe on the opposite side. The Tour Eiffel was the star attraction bien sur and far off in the distance sat the Sacré- Cœur on its majestic hill. A necessary stroll past 31 rue cambon and a brush with the mad crush outside Printemps for a peek at Karl Lagerfeld's dancing dolls wrapped up the short holiday!
