Perfect Friday

No words needed really, these pictures convey everything I want in a perfect friday. Some sleep and a few dvd's, crisp yet chewy macarons, marvellous sunlight and a weekend at the beach.
Yes indeed.

Phillip Lim World

Everyone's shopping the sales all over the internet at the moment right? Aside from a pair of miu miu heels I dearly wanted but found to my disappointment was already sold out, I have my eye on plenty of Phillip Lim pieces. He's really my go-to designer at the moment. The easy to wear separates convey laidback style and the silky dresses make mornings a relief and evenings a delight. The clothes are a combination of dreaminess and strength. The materials and cut either float softly on the skin or add structure in a way that's never severe. With aspects that are both modern and feminine, its no wonder I seem to be stuck in a Phillip Lim daze. Which designer can't you get enough of lately?

On my Birthday

Another year, another Birthday and I'm actually nervous!
This is really a year of milestones for me. Huge ones. I feel like I'm on the cusp which is alternately exhilarating and frightening. At once exciting, like cliff diving [which I've never done but am dying to do] and scary, like I really want to hide under the bed like a six year old. I think this year will be about finding my balance, about being brave and about beating odds. About never forgetting to reach for the stars just like my six year old self would have done. So my hopes as I devour my coconut covered red velvet birthday cupcake with cream cheese frosting is to love [especially my under-appreciated wonderful family], strive, savour and grow. To the best birthday and best year ever!

Texas and Beyond!

First of all, a huge Hello again! It's been a long month of crossing continents. More than 72 hours of flight time clocked later, I can't believe I'm finally going to be back in my own bed. How I missed my mountain of pillows! I think the only way I can properly share the travelling tales is to zig zag haphazardly across my memory. I left off at Maldives which seems like a lifetime ago now. Since then I've dragged my luggage all over Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cambridge, and countless other unpronouncable lovely towns from the Republic of Ireland, across Northern Ireland, by ferry over to Scotland and then back again to England and then, GIANT LEAP over to Texas, driving from Houston to Dallas before returning by way of Austin and San Antonio..... Oui, Je suis fatigué. Still with me? All I can say is I'm glad to be back, and here's a few pictures I hope you'll like!
