Sonia Rykiel printemps - été

Zig zags and lively stripes. All the bright and colourful things that mark the coming seasons! Shopping this collection just brings a big smile to my face! The whimsy, the romantic, the charming playfulness... this makes me want to head to the nearest beach and build a wonky sandcastle. Or perhaps lie under a huge umbrella and sip a zesty cocktail. I'm in love with that perfect lipstick red and black sac Lola in the first picture!

Yogis and Fashion guru's

It occurred to me as I was typing the title that it sounded like something that subconsciously sprung from my addiction to wheel of fortune. Don't you play along? I do. {the cars and exotic vacations I might have won!} Nevertheless the beautiful styling of tie dyed sashes and a backdrop of serenity made me think of yoga sessions and meditation and Tibet.
The tough images at the bottom, with the edginess and rock chick attitude come from the same editorial!
So, the message here seems to be - the enlightened yet rebellious duelity that exists in every woman? You decide.

Prada...like a shooting star

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves in this weekend post!
If not, I'll be tempted to endlessly expound on my great love for the ENTIRE collection. Truly, these shimmery, incandescent dresses could probably make Ariel abandon her Prince charming. Marvellous from top to toe, I'd smear a succulently sweet Georgian peach all over my face if it would mean achieving that delicious, dewy complexion too.

Karolina and the Planes [Birds]

I really needed something to lift my spirits [I know, we're not even halfway into the week but I feel its going to be a long one] and this series of images from Bottega Veneta's Spring 2011 campaign fits the bill in so many ways! Karolina Kurkova looks stunning. She's always been one of my favourites but lately, post-baby she's doing some gorgeous editorial work!

Also, I like planes. It has to be one of the best inventions ever and I can't imagine life devoid of travel. Every moment I'm not on vacation I'm dreaming of where to go on vacation next.
I'm obsessed! The last image channeling Alfred Hitchcock's iconic scene in 'The Birds' is unexpectedly fantastic. I love the entire spirit of the campaign, it captures glorious freedom, adventure and fun! Have a good week everyone!

What remains...

With calmness settling in once again, these are some of my favourite images that striked a note of pure perfection.
They capture the essence of quiet moments and frantic chaos, the energetic vibrance and clean simplicity of dressing, bright colours and the always stylish black.
Beauty in so many ways.

Ah, the things we should all start toting around...
