Turn of the Century Beauty

Such sweetly delicate features and that faraway gaze...I'm almost certain her beautiful fine-boned ancestor is sitting pretty at the National Portrait Gallery. The lady Marie.

  1. She reminds me of my sister. It was liberating being the plain little sister. No expectations from the adults. They left me alone to dig, climb, investigate. Of course it was a different era.

My sister was happily busy being fawned over. I'm still happily, decades later, digging, climbing, investigating & getting paid for it!!
