Holiday KANIFINHOLU

I've returned! Sun baked from snorkling all day, swimming, sailing and sleeping in the sun with a cocktail and a book. It was my very first trip without having to grapple with fiddly maps, roam around on foreign public transports or keep any kind of schedule! My 'timetable' was filled with wonderful activities all centering around my beautiful little island in the Maldives. Being in the water never felt so good. The turquoise waters were so clean, clear and warm, that it felt like floating in a luxurious outdoor bathtub. There were millions of fish to be seen everyday yet it always gave me an unexpected jolt of pleasure everytime I got caught up in a multicoloured school of the little creatures. Back from vacation and I'm beat! While I sort through the pictures on my camera, iphone And underwater cameras (3 disposable ones), here are some dreamy images that reflect my current mood perfectly. Drowsy from too much sun and sea, utterly relaxed and recharged and more than ready to go again. Bon weekend!

Me and the Open Sea

...in less than 24 Hours! Can't wait to be in the Maldives and snorkel in the Indian Ocean. I've read reviews of travellers sighting baby sharks and even dolphins so you can imagine my excitement! These glorious pictures are the result of my 'research' on flickr. I'll probably be taking a boatload of pictures (pun maybe intended) but here is a little glimpse of paradise in advance. Switching to havaianas for five days sounds utterly divine.

Night and Day

It's April and we're already one-third of the way into the year! For anyone who's feeling a need to go away and recharge, here are some essentials that I adore especially when throwing items into a last minute travel trunk. A gorgeous long black dress that is as simple as it is versatile. Perfect for dressing up or down, sufficiently slinky and so easy to pack. Also, an oversized jumper in neutral taupe that overwhelms in a wonderfully sensual way. You feel enveloped in a warm embrace. A casual tug to the side allows it to fall slightly off shoulder for a silhouette that conveys effortless insoucience. I find that the peach toned make up inspires me greatly. I like the bare minimum and this is appealing in a wholly fresh and innocent way. Rearranging my schedule to fit some R and R time in. Let's talk soon!

Le chapeau

Striking blue Maison Michel hat and the gorgeous 'Jac' Jagaciak make a winning combination. Can't think of anything better to draw even more attention to such a beautiful face. I love the two photos snapped at fashion week, one showcases the uber stylish hat and the other captures her undeniable features. Both saved to my inspiration folder. Now I just need to hunt down a version of that topper.
