Contemplation in Paris

The Tuileries on a cool July morning could just be Heaven. My idea of it at least. Emerging from the bustling early morning Metro crowd into this timeless sanctuary, I took a slow stroll towards the fountain and settled down gratefully into one of the much photographed steel, light green recliners. With the air still fresh with dew and the sense of quiet appreciation from other like minded visitors enveloping the surroundings, I felt a stillness and peacefulness that I haven't experienced in a long time.

Here a glimpse of the Louvre...

I must say, it has really been too long since I said Hello to everyone here so a big hug and thank you for the nice comments! I'm reeling slightly from the whirlwind dash across London and Paris and then coming home to find myself thrown into a demanding schedule that will only ease up in November. Nevertheless, its really comfortable to be back and be able to share some pictures of this little adventure with you.

The fairgrounds sitting prettily before the music and laughter begins...

I decided to keep this set about the Jardin purely because I felt such joy when I was there but come back again for Mademoiselle Chanel, sweets and summer along the Seine...

  1. these shots are great! I really need to get my ass over to paris more often! I'm thinking xmas time could be lush! xxx

  2. Im just dying to head to Paris so beautiful! xx

  3. Aaah i miss paris terribly upon seeing these :( There's a photo of me in that very ferris wheel last summer.. gorgeous images, way to capture the romance of the typical grey parisian sky. Sigh.
